Rockfish Secure Playoff Spot With Thrashing of Montana Select
The Rockfish put it all together and worked on fine tuning some offense and defense strategies in their preparation to play the Seattle Starz in tomorrows gladiator matchup in the playoffs. The final score was 24-1 with all of the players scoring often. It was a total team effort. The Rockfish will bring their 'A' Game to the field tomorrow at noon. Good luck guys.
Rockfish Win... Despite Hostile Environment Versus Footmen
What a great win versus the Delta Footmen, in a barnburner 6-5. Down 5-1 at one point, Rockfish learned from their first game and played team lacrosse as the offense scratched back one goal at a time and the defense played great lockdown "D." In the last minute of the game, the Rockfish scored to break a 5-5 tie and scored what would be the winning goal of the contest. As already talked about many times, the reffing was dismal and the Canadian team was dirty. Some of our own players also ran their mouths. The end almost ended up in a bench clearing brawl, but cooler heads prevailed and the Rockfish came out with a very needed victory. Next on the schedule is Montana Select in which the Rockfish will need to win in order to solidify a playoff spot come Sunday...
Rockfish Lose to Rhinos Lax in Seattle Opener
The players had a great day visiting downtown Seattle today, however, they wish they could have had their game versus the Rhinos back. It was a close contest early on, with the score being only 1-3 at half. A couple of early goals by the Rhinos in the second half made the score 1-5, and the wheels began to fall off... The defense looked shaky and offensive players played selfishly. Hopefully this will be a wake up call for the Rockfish, as they take their pool play into tomorrow's matchups versus the Delta Footmen and Montana Select.
